Retreat Participation Agreement

Thank you for choosing to participate in the Caribbean Couples Retreat. To ensure a respectful, safe, and effective experience for all, please review and agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Purpose of the Retreat

The Caribbean Couples Retreat is a relationship-building experience intended to support couples in enhancing emotional connection, communication, and intimacy. While the retreat is facilitated by a licensed clinical psychologist, participation does not constitute entry into a formal psychotherapy or clinical treatment relationship.

 

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change. The following cancellation policy applies:

• Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the retreat start date will receive a 50% refund.

• Cancellations made 30–60 days prior to the start date are eligible for a 25% refund.

• Cancellations less than 30 days prior to the start date are non-refundable.

• In case of medical or family emergency participants are eligible to reschedule to a later date.

• In case of catastrophic medical or family emergency, participants are eligible for full refund. Refund will be issued upon submitting proof of such an emergency.

• If the retreat is canceled by the facilitator due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a full refund or may opt to transfer to a future date.

Travel insurance is recommended, as we are not responsible for lost travel costs due to cancellation, illness, or weather-related delays.

 

3. Confidentiality Agreement

To create a respectful and trusting environment, we ask all participants to uphold the following:

• Personal stories, discussions, or emotional disclosures shared by other participants during the retreat sessions are to be kept strictly confidential.

• Photography, video, or audio recordings of group sessions are not permitted without express written consent from all participants.

• The facilitator will keep your personal disclosures private, with the exception of legal or ethical obligations (e.g., risk of harm to self or others).

We reserve the right to remove any participant who violates confidentiality without a refund.

 

4. Code of Conduct

To support a safe, respectful, and transformative environment for all couples, participants agree to:

• Treat all other participants and the facilitator with courtesy, respect, and open-mindedness

• Participate in group sessions in a way that is honest but also mindful of others' comfort

• Refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination, or aggressive behavior (including but not limited to raising your voice, yelling, coursing, and similar)

• Refrain from the use of alcohol and illicit substances during the retreat sessions

• Follow the retreat schedule and arrive on time for all sessions

• No use of mobile phones and other electronic devices are allowed during the sessions (phones will be collected and stored during the sessions)

Abusive behavior of any form is not tolerated at the retreat. Participants who engage in disruptive or inappropriate behavior will be asked to leave the retreat without a refund. If you demonstrate abusive behavior, use abusive language towards you partner or other participants, arrive at the session under the influence of alcohol or drugs you will be dismissed from the rest of the retreat sessions without refund.

 

5. Agreement & Consent

By submitting payment and participating in the Caribbean Couples Retreat, you and your partner acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to all terms outlined in this Participation Agreement. You further agree that you are participating voluntarily and are responsible for your own physical, emotional, and relational well-being throughout the retreat.
